Episode 74: Etienne Flinn (Tribunal)

The guitarist and vocalist discusses the band's latest album In Penitence and Ruin.

In Penitence and Ruin (20 Buck Spin) is the second album by Vancouver, British Columbia's gothic-doom quintet Tribunal.

Led by bassist/cellist/vocalist Soren Mourne and guitarist/vocalist Etienne Flinn, the contrast of Mourne and Flinn's vocal styles and Mourne's cello give the album a very particular quality—atmospheric, moody and powerful.

Flinn joins me to discuss the album, songwriting with Mourne, the practicalities of managing the band's instrumentation on stage and the joy of booking agents.
